The Nature of God as Thought and this relation to things physical
One relation between God, Thought, Creation, and evolution: This essay will premise the idea that as a magnet attracts metallic filings that the geometric shapes, forms, and functions found in biology have an energy equivalent in the form of the electromagnetic under-structure which uses the above to form living creatures and such. And that these electromagnetic modular building blocks (in biochemistry called the Circe effect being the electromagnetic field of enzymes) attract the molecules which form the DNA cell; and starting with that foundation begins a trajectory of morphological development resulting in full-fledged creatures such as ourselves, capable of precision in our own thoughts and endeavours and perfect in form.
It would seem that God can create new forms as simply as assembling – rather forming, envisioning, or imagining – in His own Mind (for all purposes identical to the human process of mental-imaging then physical creation: but at the lowest level) the electromagnetic under-structure of a DNA cell which would, then, attract the relevant molecules necessary to create life new or modified. And, this process is related to the existence of thought and thinking. Still, the position assumed by Darwin and mentioned below, is adopted by the present writer.
Evolution and thought and thinking below the human, animal, and insect mind: In its essence, the whole model or "story of life" for a creature is stored in the single DNA cell from which they emerge/emerged. And, each atom, and each "matter" particle in each atom in that cell of DNA is a house (as it were) built on the frame of the immaterial forces that are their blueprint: prominently, the electromagnetic and strong forces. Please do read how matter and forces are a single form cut from the same cloth: click.
Yin: On one side of the coin, that a creature employs thought and utilizes thinking (abilities conferred upon it by its original and single DNA form) can only mean that thought and thinking are the very essence of energy or the essence of the universe. Yang: On the other side of the coin, any creature's body form and thought and thinking are enabled by the assortment and configuration of atoms in the original single cell of a particular creature's DNA. As the ancient Chinese taught: all is Yin and Yang – and that would mean God.
In that Yang is material would indicate that Yin, the idea of things, always existed but needed to wait for Yang (i.e. wait for the EVOLUTION of atoms and molecules – and wait for those atoms and molecules to exist in a life-supporting environment – and wait for the EVOLUTION of life forms leading to a life form in question) before Yin–idea could manifest Yang–form. It is completely impossible (click) for any physical form to exist without some pre-existent general rules in the nature of forces as forces alone determine the form and nature of material constructions (Please see related works: Plato's Republic, Pre-existence). Matter is the servant of forces (click). The significance is that the thought and thinking found in the human, animal, and insect are subsets of and are enabled and "borrowed," as it were, from the Set of Thought and Thinking which is the essence of the universe.
That Thought and Thinking are the essence of the universe is an idea that is found in Freeman Dyson's book, The Thinking Universe, the Koran, Bible, Talmud, Aristotle and the Greeks, and ancient Egyptians assume that position (for related ideas, please see temporarily disconnected: click #1, click #2, click #3, click #4).
When the Bible speaks of "In the beginning was the Word and the Word became flesh," would not seem to imply that there was a single Word as "man" or "woman," "day" or "night" but "Word" plural – the totality of Thought. We see the "Word becoming flesh" every day in the sense of the continuance of existence evidenced about us and what we witness as well as in new life, in evolution, and in the better selves we manifest. As thought and thinking is a derived form of and derived from Thought and Thinking, so too all forms are derived from Forms. The writer agrees with Charles Darwin who, in his letter to Asa Grey at Harvard, wrote, in Life and Letters of Charles Darwin, that: " I am inclined to look at everything as resulting from designed laws, with the details, whether good or bad, left to chance."
