etermination of strength My assertion is that you have to start with the complete system and work your way down to the parts, and not focus on one part or remove that part from the engine to study it. — Konrad Lorenz Evans
Since the question is asked: How and why did the Creator arrive at the Choices made for Creation? it must be legitimate to field an answer. In what follows, we will look at who rose the question; the reasons they offer to support the conviction that conscious choices were made; and this paper will propose a technique the Creator could have used to determine how to set the values within and between matter and forces that (S)he did. The answer being a Konrad Lorenz-type model as in the above quote: i.e. "Thinking backwards from pre-existent perfect tension and Imago. Yet, it will also be suggested that forming intelligent forms is an inbuilt, innate potential of the forces undergirding matter.
Forming the question: The form that human thinking takes when it asks questions such as why things exist in the manner they do is to imply the belief that choices were made. Einstein asked: "How much choice did God have in constructing the universe?" And Steven Hawkings comments on His "Complete freedom ... to choose how the universe began." James Jeans posed the question: "What if the Creator of the universe selected one special set of laws just because they led to the appearance of life?"1 Isaac Newton believed: "God in the beginning formed matter."2 Wheeler feels: "Some sort of intelligent life is required in order to give meaning to quantum mechanics."3
In each case, the Creator was referred to in such a manner that the speaker believed that conscious choices were made regarding the structure Creation would take. Dawkins, Darwin, Davies, Hawkings, Silk, Barrow, Tipler, Barbour, Watson, and others speak of the fine-balancing found in Creation enabling it to exist that if altered in an infinitesimally small way would have made Creation impossible. Their views are important. Please click here to see them. Still, as this is an issue science can neither prove or disprove the debate will carry on for centuries. There can only be opinions. But, the evidence is weighing in in favor of design.
Suggestion for how atomic strengths were determined and set: An imaginary woman had three weights before her: feather-light, medium, and heavy. She will pick them up separately with thumb and forefinger. There are seven joints between the finger tips and shoulders and both muscle and bone increase in thickness and strength from finger-tip to shoulder with each later joint capable of supporting more weight than the previous. To accommodate to the middle weight would require a different amount of tension at each joint and a physiological adjustment completely different from the feather-light and heavy weight. Furthermore, the tension between all particles and forces gathered in and between each atom in her mind and body must be perfect else our imaginary woman could not even exist.
An analogy can be made between the proportional strengthening of bone and muscle as we travel from finger-tip up the arm and the strength and hardness, if you will, of elements as we go from the lightest element, hydrogen, up to iron and beyond. This simple and step-by-step progression up the periodic table allows much predictability and assigns logical roles in organic and inorganic constructions as well as relationships between the families of elements. And given all its inherent logic, it is an instrument of logic, and it is logical that certain structures are inevitable: and logical that if the "inter-linking" strengths between the component matters and forces were established at a certain level that much of what we see can be accounted for. For instance, that hydrogen makes up 75% of matter means that both gaseous atmospheres as well as water are all but guaranteed and amino acids are not far behind. And of those amino acids, the law of averages has it that some will be replicators. Finally, with the tendency of spheres to form (see: Bubbles as spheres ), it is all but inevitable that many of those replicators will find protective spheres, boundaries, in which to dwell and that these boundaries will become cells. Furthermore, as individual cells multiply, it is a good bet that they will form colonies. When scientists say that life will be found on Mars or other planets, they do not explain in detail why. It is curiously simply put-forward as a gut-belief, an act of faith. It is proposed here that the reason life may exist on other planets is because of the nature of the ubiquitous bubble (again, see: Bubbles as spheres ). And once colonies reach a certain size, in a certain percentage of circumstances, they will become symbionts and follow the way of the Volvox to become full-fledged multicellular organisms like insects, whales, and intelligent beings who begin to "externalize" the laws, creativity, and intelligence that the universe was formed with. Our species, homo sapien sapiens, itself will probably be far surpassed when Nature's organizing capabilities are accessed. We are not so much derivative from lower animals, or even one-celled creatures. We are not even resultant from the oxygen, hydrogen, carbon, and nitrogen comprising us, nor even subatomic particles. We are not the product of photons proper. Ultimately, we are derivative from what may be called superforce or strings. We are 100 to 200 pounds of pure, organized energy. We are really nothing less than energy and nothing more than energy and perhaps, really, Spirit. What we call superforce or superstring may really be a substance called Spirit (see click, and there press VI in the outline). Given such simple beginnings, and evolving to the complex stage we find the human race today, it would seem that Nature is capable of putting as much distance between superforce and the human and other living organisms as between the human and future organisms. The goal of Nature would seem to be to create Gods. And this same dynamic would seem to occur wherever in the universe life generates: ultimately, the goal is the creation of a plethora God-like beings throughout the universe. The above would seem to be predictable knowing that the forces were given such a value that they would cause matter to form spheres. It is suggested that if the Creator formed the strength of forces through Choice that there were an infinite number of choices that could be chosen at different levels of tension simply as we ourselves can tense our muscles at any given number of infinite levels. If we choose one level, we can hold that level. And, the Creator tensed His/Her substances at a given level and that level became what we know as the relative strength of forces: gravitational, strong, weak, and electromagnetic. It is suggested that this tensing occured at a very specific place. Given all the elements on a straight line (by family), the Creator Tensed His/Her substances fixed on Imago and at the point where forces would cause matter to form spherical forms from hydrogen to the universe, from the first fossilized living organism (it was spherical) to the human eye. Tensing occured in such a manner that matter would have a tendency to create spherical forms – and they are the fingerprint of the universe and key to the existence of life itself. Please click. It should be revolutionary to say that forces were established at a key value or state of tension such that in matter of all forms, its primary inclination is to form spheres from the simple hydrogen to the spherical shape of old galaxies, and the shape of the universe itself. And, in the biological arena, to form spherical shapes from the micelles, vesicles that hold cellular material, to the spherical form of the first fossilized living cells, to the spherical form of the Volvox colonies – seemingly a likely precursor to multicellular animals – to the blastula: the hollow ball of cells from which all creatures are formed. The value of forces were set: they were set at a value that spherical shapes and forms were most likely to form.Standing before the onset of Creation, we might determine and set the ideal strengths within and between atoms by establishing Imago (i.e. a pre-existent Image of all things to come – general principles rather than specific details on the biological level) and working backwards. There may be some merit in envisioning the finish and working backwards to the beginning. Konrad Lorenz, stating his own method of observation, said:
My assertion is that you have to start with the complete system and work your way down to the parts, and not focus on one part or remove that part from the engine to study it. Evans
Planning starts with the ideal and goes backwards: Every serious planner works the same way: from the perfect future ideal back to the present. Architects, City Planners, designers of cars and computer all start with the ideal and then form the real. Every sports team looks for the manifestation of the ideal coach, takes raw talent, and fashions excellence. Charlemagne based St. Petersburg on St. Augustine's, The City of God, and it is still a stunningly beautiful building today. The ancient Egyptians based the three great pyramids on the three stars in belt of Orion. Their own heaven was in the constellation of Orion and Sirius as ample pictures show and it was the ideal plan for their own metropolis where the Nile River was placed to the pyramids as was the Milky Way to the three belt stars represented in their pyramids.Hanc Crimes themselves and military attacks have their root in the perfect plan before they are executed.
Even a spider's web, bee's hive, bird's nest, ant's or volvox's colony when damaged are repaired to the original state as are living cells. Must this not mean that somewhere within the (collective) creature must be a picture of the ideal form of its home. How else could they build it without training and selectively restore the damaged part to its natural form if there were no ideal picture within their inner visual memory? Spectroscopic analysis of stars on the other side of the universe and billions of light years away reveal the elements they are made of: and molecules as well. Which can mean only one thing: the models followed by atoms, molecules, and matter existed when the big bang was ushered in. They were based on pre-existent plans. Planners all begin with the goal in mind and assemble their raw materials and processes to reach the goal. It is a strategy that works for particle, man, and beast. Why would it not work for the Creator? Or perhaps it works for particle, man, and beast because it works for the Creator.
In the above example of the imaginary woman (let us say she is trillions of years more advanced than the human being) if she were one in the set of God's Imago God could work backwards to establish the values within and between atoms.
The role of Imago, image, and evolution: Red and blue equal green. In synergy, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The whole, green, is greater than the sum of red and blue. While red remains red and blue remains blue, the moment you or I decide to blend them the color green is born. What we are witnessing here is Imago where a pre-existent blueprint springs into existence. A blueprint that pre-dated the big bang as the relation between matter and forces was established by then. There is a trajectory of Imagos (i.e. the pre-big bang Imago of particles, to atoms, to molecules, to life, to Einstein's) based on perfect tension which matter itself manifests in certain combinations and configurations. In this sense, Creation does indeed start with a blueprint. But it is not a blueprint that exists outside of the everyday world we know and live in. The blueprint exists in "red plus blue equals green:" i.e. it exists as perfect tension – the delicate balance we find in the balance between matter and forces that makes certain forms of the evolution of matter and life inevitable.
Schrödinger wrote: "Any atom of nitrogen, oxygen, sulphur, etc., is as good as any other of its kind." We can use just one example. Einstein's brain had a certain composition and configuration. If we could take identical atoms, one from each star in the universe, and replace them one-by-one with each atom in Einstein's brain, after all the substitutions were made his brain would function unaltered. The significance is that the trajectory of Imagos based on perfect tension would seem to exist. The universe would seem to be based on a pre-existent plan. And even if the plan were not made by such a thing as a God, and were, say, purely accidental, we would seem to have to conclude that a plan nonetheless exists.

Atomic nuclei, including their bodyguards of electrons, when they find themselves close to each other, forming a 'system', are unable by their very nature to adopt any arbitrary configuration we might think of. Their very nature leaves them only a very numerous but discrete series of 'states' to choose from ... It is virtually correct to think of a state as meaning a definite configuration of all corpuscles." Schr
